+During the war of 1812, David Daniel served as a private in the Ohio Militia (2nd regiment under Colonel John Hindman, company of Captain Martin Sitler).  In 1818, David Daniel married Margaret Rummell, who was born 16.Dec.1789 in Washington, Franklin, PA. The marriage took place in Trumbull County, OH, which was probably the home of Margaret's family at the time. David and Margaret appear to have lived in Columbiana and Meigs counties before moving to a farm in Morgan Township, Scioto County, OH sometime before 1859.
